ARTIST STATEMENT
My main media is batik and painting on silk, but I have been fascinated
by the various shibori techniques (since my trip to Japan in 1961)
and have only in recent years tried to incorporate shibori in my
silk and batik garments. My thirst for Japanese art has made me
to delve into the works of traditional and contemporary artists,
and hope to learn and captivate the texture and colour harmony.
